Thunderstruck Jujube Wood Bead Bracelet
A substantial jujube-wood bracelet whose rounded beads make material, rhythm and touch part of the daily ritual.
Origin & Story
Jujube wood is valued for its density, close grain and warm brown tone. In this collection, the material is identified as thunderstruck wood—a category surrounded in Daoist and Chinese folk practice by ideas of concentrated yang force, resilience and decisive transformation.
Each bead is machine shaped and then refined by hand. The generous 16–20 mm scale gives the bracelet a deliberate presence on the wrist, while natural tonal shifts prevent the surface from feeling uniform or manufactured.
Traditional Meaning & Intention
Bead bracelets create a quiet rhythm through repetition and touch. Wearers may use that rhythm to return attention to the body, strengthen personal resolve or carry an intention of protection, favourable momentum and a steadier personal presence.
- Grounded confidence and presence
- Resilience and favourable momentum
- Traditional protection intention
- Tactile focus during work, travel or reflection
Temple Ritual & Blessing
Before release, this object was placed on a Daoist temple altar for a period and included in a blessing rite conducted by Daoist priests. For Dao Origin, that rite is part of the object’s provenance: a deliberate preparation that joins material, craft and intention.
Materials & Dimensions
Each bead is shaped from solid natural jujube heartwood selected from a tree that had been struck by lightning. It is genuine wood—not resin, plastic or an engineered wood composite. Heartwood is the dense inner section of the tree, chosen for its close grain and material integrity. Natural differences in colour, grain, growth marks and tonal depth mean that every bracelet has its own character; these variations are part of the material rather than defects.
- Material: thunderstruck jujube wood
- Bead diameter: approx. 1.6–2.0 cm
- Approx. weight: 40 g
- Craft: machine shaped and hand refined
- In stock; grain, tone and bead count may vary by selected size
How to Wear or Use
Wear on the wrist without forcing the elastic or cord. The beads can also be handled slowly as a tactile focus; this is not a formal prayer-bead count unless a specific variant states otherwise.
Care
Keep dry and remove before bathing, swimming or strenuous activity. Avoid perfume and sanitiser. Roll the bracelet over the hand rather than stretching one section sharply.
Traditional associations are offered as cultural and spiritual context. Personal experience varies; this object does not guarantee protection, prosperity, health or any other specific outcome.
