Temple Ritual & Blessing

Before release, this object was placed on a Daoist temple altar for a period and included in a blessing rite conducted by Daoist priests. For Dao Origin, that rite is part of the object’s provenance: a deliberate preparation that joins material, craft and intention.

Materials & Dimensions

Both pieces are carved from solid natural jujube heartwood selected from a tree that had been struck by lightning. They are genuine wood—not resin, plastic or an engineered wood composite. Heartwood is the dense inner section of the tree, chosen for its close grain and material integrity. Natural differences in colour, grain direction, growth marks and tonal depth make every pair individual; these variations are part of the material rather than defects.

How to Wear or Use

For external use only. Apply a suitable body oil and use light, comfortable strokes. Avoid broken, inflamed or highly sensitive skin. Stop if pain, bruising or irritation occurs. This product is not a medical device.

Care

Wipe immediately after use with a slightly damp cloth, then dry thoroughly. Do not soak, boil or use harsh disinfectants on the wood. Store the two pieces in a dry pouch.
